VIEWERS have watched Coronation Street’s Chesney Brown grow up on the soap, but there’s one thing about him fans have missed – until now.
Played by actor Sam Aston since 2003 – Chesney made his debut at the tender age of 10.
He soon won over fans as the cute and cheeky son of Cilla Battersby-Brown’s (Wendi Peters), and Fiz Stape’s (Jennie McAlpine) half-brother.
But many will be shocked to learn that his real-life sister also tread the cobbles in the nineties.
His sister Emily Aston played Becky Palmer on the ITV soap for a whopping 51 episodes between 1996 and 1997.
She went on to work on BBC’s Doctors, This Is England ’88 and Hollyoaks.

And it seems that the acting bug runs deeper in the family as his brother Joseph also played Tommy Duckworth, Jack and Vera Duckworth’s grandson, in 2000.
Another sibling called Thomas has also appeared on Casualty and The Bill.
Sam recently shared that his family connection has helped his acting. He explained, “Growing up in a big family, I’ve always been used to chaos.”
“I’ve got five sisters, three brothers. So I’m used to a lot of people being around in the house and children and all sorts. So it’s not as crazy as it sounds.
However, playing a parent is somewhat harder, he said: “I don’t think it’s as crazy as what it could be when you initially think there are four babies on set.”
