The recent weeks have been a very thrilling ride for Coronation Street fans. There have been twist after twist in the storyline. However, one of the biggest by far has been villain Joel Deering’s death. After he failed to show up at court for his hearing, he stumbled into Roy’s rolls. The story took a surprising twist when the villain offered his apologies to Roy for the trouble he had caused him.
However, his behavior shifted again when he became enraged by Roy’s suggestion to surrender. Joel tore the phone off the wall and smashed it, leaving Roy shaking in his shoes on Coronation Street. He then went back to his car and left Dee-Dee a rather disturbing voicemail. When Dee-Dee shared the message with DS Lisa Swain, she deduced that Joel had perhaps killed himself.
Then ensued a search for Joel Deering’s dead body, which Kit Green discovered floating in the water. Corrie spoilers reveal that further investigation confirms that Joel’s body was thrown into the water after he died. Moreover, going by the injury to his head, it was evaluated that he may have been killed by a crowbar.
Considering Joel’s hideous past actions, it is easy to imagine that the list of suspects is going to be rather long. However, there are a few that have more motives than others. For example- Lauren Bolton. But is she really responsible for the murder? In the upcoming episodes, suspicions will also fall on troublemaker Mason Radcliffe, when he is found with a crowbar.
But what reason does the youngster have to kill Joel Deering? Interestingly, next week, Kit Green takes notice of how odd Dee-Dee has started to act after Joel’s murder. Something she does in the upcoming episodes makes Kit wonder if she is the one who killed the villain.
