As bittersweet as it will be to say goodbye to Blue Bloods, it seems the series finale will at least bring about a moment fans have been hoping would one day happen.

Before Blue Bloods signs off the airwaves for good this fall with the second part of its farewell season, it seems the show will finally pull off a moment fans have long been hoping for.

According to TVLine, the series finale of CBS’s long-running Friday night drama will pull off the ultimate Reagan family reunion by bringing together the full Reagan family for the first time in the show’s history. Just what does this mean, do you ask? After all, the show brings the family together every episode for the Reagan family dinners we’ve come to know and love.

While the Reagan family dinner has brought together the various members of the Reagan family for 14 seasons, no episode of the show has featured all four Reagan cousins together under one roof.

Will Hochman’s Joe Hill did not make his debut until season 10, when he was introduced as the son of the late Joe Reagan. Since his introduction, Hochman has appeared in several episodes of the show and crossed paths with many members of the Reagan family; however, he’s yet to appear on-screen with his cousins Nicky (Sami Gayle) and Jack (Tony Terraciano).

This is due to the fact that both Nicky and Jack are away at school, with Gayle and Terraciano no longer appearing as series regulars on the show by the time Joe was introduced in season 10. While the pair have returned to the show since their initial exits as series regulars, their returns have never coincided with episodes that featured Joe.

Fans have long hoped to get to see all four of the Reagan grandkids come together in an episode, but it simply hasn’t been in the cards.

Well, it seems we’re finally going to see Joe meeting his other cousins in the series finale of the show as Blue Bloods showrunner Kevin Wade hinted to TVLine that the finale will bring together the entire Reagan family for the first time which would truly be a perfect moment to save for the series finale.

Given how pivotal the Reagan family dinners have been over the years, we’d love to see the show’s final sequence feature the one final scene around the table with the entire Reagan family gathered together as the show’s incredible run comes to a close.
