Iluka, who arrived under the guise of a simple visit to his brother Marley, is hiding a dangerous truth. Initially claiming he was just reconnecting with Marley, Iluka’s real reason for coming to Summer Bay involves his fraught past with the Allen family.

Iluka had previously told Marley that his run-in with the law was a misunderstanding after being caught up in a police raid involving the Allen siblings, who were dealing in stolen car parts. Iluka insisted he had minimal involvement and was only in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, Marley learns from his sister Alandra that Iluka’s version of events is far from the truth. Iluka was actually involved in stealing money from the Allens, and they believe he betrayed them by cooperating with the authorities.

When Justin’s car goes missing, Marley initially suspects Iluka, but it turns out Leah had borrowed the car. Iluka boasts about having $8,000 in cash, claiming it as his own, but Marley soon realizes Iluka had borrowed this money from the Allens and was planning to repay them with earnings from a future NFL contract, a dream Marley knows is unlikely to come true.

As the tension mounts, Marley tries to make amends by returning the money to the Allens, but he hears nothing back. Meanwhile, McKenzie and Levi discuss Marley at the Surf Club, where a woman overhears their conversation. Claiming she’s there to pick up a board from Marley, this woman, who is actually Nat Allen, later teams up with her brothers Campbell and Gardi for a confrontation.

Returning home, McKenzie and Levi are horrified to find their house ransacked. Nat and her brothers, armed with knives, demand that McKenzie and Levi hand over their phones and sit down. They are looking for the money Iluka owes, but Iluka has cleverly hidden the cash in his car and is preoccupied with Kirby, who has been spending time with him.
